This policy explains what National Wood Products, Inc. (“NWP”, “we”) collects through www.nwpsocal.com, why, who helps us handle it, and how you can reach us about it. It covers this website only.
What we collect
When you use the contact form: your name, email address, phone number and message.
When you apply for a job: what you enter on the employment application, which can include your name, address, phone, email, the position and salary you are looking for, work authorization, education, past employers, references, military service, your signature and, if you choose to give it, your Social Security number.
When you visit any page: like every website, our hosting provider receives your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, so it can deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
We do not ask for payment details, and we do not buy information about you from anyone.
Why we use it
- To answer your question, quote or request.
- To consider your job application and contact you about it.
- To keep the site and its forms working and free of spam.
- To meet legal obligations, such as keeping employment records.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
Who helps us handle it
These companies process information on our behalf, only to provide their service to us:
- Cloudflare, Inc. hosts and delivers this website.
- Jotform Inc. runs both forms. What you submit is stored on Jotform’s servers and emailed to our team.
- Google LLC provides reCAPTCHA, which runs inside the forms to tell people from bots. It collects information about your device and browser and may use Google cookies. Its use is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy andTerms of Service.
- Microsoft Corporation provides the email service where form submissions are received.
- Prismic serves some of the images in older blog posts.
- YouTube (Google) serves the videos on some pages. They load in privacy-enhanced mode, so YouTube stores nothing until you press play. Once you do, YouTube’s own policy applies.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect the rights, property or safety of NWP, our customers or others.
Cookies and tracking
This website sets no cookies of its own, and it uses no analytics, advertising pixels or tracking tools. The services above may use their own cookies when you use the part of the page they provide, such as reCAPTCHA inside a form or a video you choose to play.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Because we do not track you across websites and do not sell or share your information, there is nothing for a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal to turn off. If we ever add tools that would, we will treat a Global Privacy Control signal as a request to opt out, and we will update this page before adding them.
How long we keep it
- Contact form messages: as long as we need them to answer you and keep normal business records, then deleted.
- Job applications: at least four years, as California law requires employers to keep them.
- Hosting logs: for a short period, as set by our hosting provider.
Your choices and requests
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to what the law requires us to keep. Security
The site and both forms are served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). No method of sending or storing data is completely secure, but we limit access to what you send us to the people who need it.
Children
This website is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Other websites
Links to our suppliers, social media and other sites lead to pages we do not control. Their own privacy policies apply there.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we will update it here and change the effective date at the top.
